The National Convention of Educators of the Deaf (NCED-India) is a premier national-level association dedicated to the betterment of education for children with hearing impairments. Established in 1935, NCED-India has been at the forefront of advocating for quality education and professional development for educators in this specialized field.
Our History
Originally founded as the Convention of the Teachers of the Deaf (CTDI), NCED-India has a rich history of service and advocacy. In 1995, it became a registered society under the name NCED-India. Our head office is located at the Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan) (AYJNISHD) in Bandra, Mumbai.

NCED-India is committed to improving the quality of educational services provided to children with hearing impairments. We strive to empower teachers and disseminate best practices and evidence-based interventions.
